Swimming

In the last two weeks room fifteen went swimming in the YMCA pools. We always walk with room seventeen when go there, and my plastic bag was rusting all the way. We spread out all over the place and got out of our lines.

When I passed the doors of the pool I was greeted by the smell of chlorine. As I went to change into my togs, I said to myself “I wish the swimming lessons would never end.” As soon as I got out of the girls changing rooms I wanted to run and jump in the pool but I didn’t.

I was in a team called Professionals. The professionals go second to swim. Finally it was our turn to swim. I grabbed a flutter board and jumped in the water.

We did some backstrokes, freestyle and lots of laps in the pool. I had lots of fun, some times it’s hard. In our last day of swimming we got ten minuets of free time, I did some mermaid swimming. Mya wouldn't stop pulling my leg so I didn't get to the other side of the pool. It was still fine with me.

At the end of the day I always say to myself “I cant wait till tomorrow.” Swimming is the only sport I'm good at and I like the water so I love swimming.

  1. What an interesting story Jouan! I loved reading about your time at the pools as I never get to go there myself with a class. I am pleased to hear that you like swimming and are good at it. What would you say if the mobile swimming pool came back to Pt England?

  2. Fantastic story Jouan, I can almost smell the chlorine. I liked how you described what you did and also your enthusiasm for swimming.
    Keep up the great work!
